Week 33: 5/3-5/7

Spelling Words List  (5^th/6^th grade): No Test this week

Please focus on your science projects this week.  Your board should give materials, procedure, observations, outcomes and appropriate illustrations..  Also, an explanation of how/why/what your project illustrates is required.

 Including pictures of the process is highly recommended. Example: action shots of putting it together, pictures of the project etc.

NEWS

1. No Current Event this week.
2. Science Fair Project is due Tuesday, May 12^th!
3. Science Far is Thursday, May 13^th.  The students will also be performing that evening at 6:00.  Please have your children here at 5:30 so we can practice.  Students should wear red, white, and blue (no jeans please). If one student does not show up we cannot perform our tone chime piece.  
4. We have treat sale this week.  Please bring in $4 for the treats. 
5. Last week I sent home information about ditch day.  Normally this day is reserved for the 6^th graders.  Since there will not be a 6^th grade next year, the current 6^th graders decided to include the 5^th graders in our celebration!  We will go to Pickwick for bowling and Islands for lunch.  Price includes 2 games, entrée, drink (including tax and tip).  I sent a menu, please have your child choose ONE entrée and a drink.  Please return permission slip and money by Friday!
6. El Camino Pines is next week.  I sent out a packet that includes items to bring/not bring.  Please review this.  The number of the camp is on the letter, if you have any questions you can contact the camp directly. 
7. All School Field trip to the zoo June 3^rd .  We need drivers! Please call the school office or send a note if you are available.
