Notes from the Teacher: It was great to see those of you who came to Open House. Thank you all for coming and all the help you gave that day.
This Tuesday is restaurant night at Panda from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. A flyer should go home today for this school fundraiser.
There is no school on Fridays due to a teacher in-service class. So, after school treat sale will be this Thursday by the second grade class.
Letter (W) Books read: Read Along “Dr. Seuss ABC,” “ “Wet World,” “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Cinderella”, “Will You be My Friend?”and “Whose Chick are You?”
Math: We will puzzle sequence a whale and count water- melon seeds after we taste some watermelon. We will also count two groups of seeds and total how many in all.
Small motor: The children will trace letter (Ww), color, cut and glue a puzzled whale and word pictures for W. For fun, they will create their own wand. If time permits, we will create our own wild thing.
Large motor: Run and play outside, using sand and water tables. Take turns riding the tricycles and big wheel. Indoors, play circle games with musical cds and exercise to Smart Moves music.
God’s Word: “The Lord’s Prayer” we will listen and learn The Lord’s Prayer, and decorate a colorful page to go with it. Discover words in the bible that state how much God loves to hear from each of us and sing praise songs together.
Science: Begin a unit on 4 seasons of weather, illustrating each season, noting what season we are still in, what season is next, and plant some flower seeds for the coming spring. For fun with letter (W), we will plant a watermelon seed each and watch them over time.
Spanish: Is with Ms. Rosa at 8:45 – 9:20.
Music: 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday mornings with Jr. K through 2nd grade.
